Crossplay: what is confirmed and what is not
BlackMill's launch communications do not state a crossplay policy for Gallipoli, and this site is not going to assert one either way from a store page. What is worth knowing while that stays unpublished: Gallipoli fills 50-player matches, so which pools are joined together has a direct effect on your queue times off-peak. If you are choosing a platform mainly to play with a specific friend, buy on the same platform they are on rather than relying on an unconfirmed feature.
The player count page covers the visible PC population and why console numbers are not published anywhere.
Which version should you buy?
On PC, Steam and Epic are the same game at the same price — pick by which launcher you already live in, though Steam is where BlackMill posts development blogs and where the discussion boards are. On console, the choice is made for you by which machine you own; there is no cross-generation option to fall back on.
Before buying on PC, check the system requirements: the minimum tier already asks for 16 GB of RAM, which rules out more machines than people expect. For what each bundle contains, see editions and DLC, and for the current sale state the official Steam page is the live source.
