The Ottoman Fronts
What is Gallipoli?
Gallipoli is a ww1 multiplayer fps by BlackMill Games, released on August 20, 2026 for PC (Steam, Epic), PS5, Xbox Series X|S. It is the fourth game in the WW1 Game Series after Verdun, Tannenberg and Isonzo, and the first to leave Europe: you fight across the Ottoman Fronts, from the beach landings at Anzac Cove and Cape Helles to the desert expeditions of Mesopotamia and the Sinai.
There is one mode — Expedition, 25 versus 25 over semi-randomised objectives — and no single-player campaign. What you get instead is 10 classes with two kits each, 150 weapons counting variants, and 5 launch maps built with help from historians and museums. Everything is unlocked from your first launch; levelling adds perks and uniforms, never access.
The mechanics are where Gallipoli separates itself from the series. Hitscan is gone — bullets have travel time and drop. Suppression escalates from extra sway into a full panic state where your hands shake and you fumble the bolt at the end of a reload. A hit to a limb downs you rather than killing you, which is why the Stretcher Bearer is one of the most valuable slots on the field. This site maps all of it: the class rankings, the arsenal, the squad and call-in system, and how it all compares to Isonzo.
Get Started in 5 Steps
- Check your machine first. The minimum tier asks for 16 GB of RAM, not 8 — see the system requirements before you buy.
- Know what you are buying. Expedition is the only mode, it is online only, and there is no campaign or bot mode. Skip the DLC on day one — every pack is cosmetic.
- Play two matches as Rifleman. Learn how suppression, stamina and bullet travel move your aim before you take a class other people depend on. The beginner guide covers what changes from other shooters.
- Then switch to a support class. Ammo Bearer and Stretcher Bearer are squad spawn points, so your team keeps fighting where you stand. See all 10 classes and the tier list.
- Learn one map's sectors. Objectives are semi-randomised but the terrain is not — start with Anzac Cove, then read squads and call-ins to understand why your Officer's barrage choice decides the push.

FAQ
What is the Gallipoli game?
Gallipoli is a 50-player WW1 first-person shooter by BlackMill Games, released on August 20, 2026. It is the fourth entry in the WW1 Game Series after Verdun, Tannenberg and Isonzo, and it moves the setting to the Ottoman Fronts — the Gallipoli peninsula, Mesopotamia and the Sinai. The one game mode is Expedition: 25 versus 25, fighting through semi-randomised objectives across a sequence of sectors.
Is it spelled Gallipoli or Galipoli?
Gallipoli, with two Ls. Galipoli and Gallipolli are common misspellings and will still find the game in most search engines. The name comes from the Gallipoli peninsula in Turkey, known in Turkish as Gelibolu.
Is this the same as the Gallipoli movie, or the town in Italy?
No to both, and the name collision is worth clearing up. Gallipoli (1981) is Peter Weir's film with Mel Gibson about the same WW1 campaign. Gallipoli in Puglia is an Italian seaside town with no connection to the battle. Gallipolis is a city in Ohio. This site covers only the 2026 video game by BlackMill Games.
About This Site
Gallipoli Game Guide is an independent, unofficial fan resource for Gallipoli players — not affiliated with BlackMill Games.
- How we verify: Every number here traces to a BlackMill source — the Steam store page, the developer blogs posted to Steam News, or the in-game arsenal. Where the studio has not published a figure, such as the name of the fifth launch map, this site says so instead of guessing.
- Update cadence: Re-checked after each free content update; the next one announced is Ali Al Muntar. Class, weapon and map pages are read back against the patch notes within 48 hours of a Gallipoli update going live.
- What we don't do: No leaked roadmaps, no key-reseller links, and no per-weapon damage tables copied from spreadsheets that cannot be verified. Community tier opinions are labelled as opinion, never as measured stats.
